Endlessly inspired by the Victorian age, House of Hackney’s tiles remain faithful to the era. Our earthenware tiles are hand-crafted nineteenth century reproductions, encompassing Britain’s long history of decorative crafts, reflecting the Victorian tradition and celebrating our eternal muse, Mother Nature.

Our tiles are crafted by world renowned ceramic tile makers, Craven Dunnill Jackfield, in the oldest surviving tile factory in the world, nestled in the heart of the English countryside.

Perfectly imperfect; over time the glaze will develop subtle surface crackling, called crazing. This happens naturally in ceramics and will in no way affect the durability of the tile – it’s just a part of the beauty of traditionally hand made tiles.
